The Millis Middle School holds elections for Student Council Representatives each fall. Any student may run for a Student Council office.
Student Council meets after school to plan activities to improve and enhance our school climate and culture, such as charity fundraisers, School Spirit Days, and activities for 6th graders.
Student Council Election Announcement October 2, 2023
Do you have school spirit? Is there something about Millis Middle School that could be better? Student Council is your chance to take some action to improve our school. Student council meets twice a month after school to plan activities and represent student voices to teachers and administrators.
There are 3 representatives from each grade, and 3 officers: president, vice-president, and secretary. All positions are open to all grades, except president, which must be an 8th grader. This year we are asking that all candidates run individually.
If you want to run for any position, get a speech form from Mrs. Botelho in room 204, or Mrs. Saccardo in room 203. The finished speeches should be turned in to one of them for review by October 13, and will be presented to the student body on October 20. Every student is welcome to run, and -- just as important -- to vote.
