22/23 Millis Middle School Extracurricular Offerings Spotlight
Clubs, groups and activities are open to all students. Some meet after school and some meet during lunch or recess block during the school day. There are NO sign-ups or permission slips required for extracurricular activities.
Students may start a club based on their interests by talking with a staff member.
LATE BUS
will be available on Wednesday's only, beginning 10/26/22.
Art Club
Meets after school on Wednesdays in Ms. Radcliffe's room 215. Students can explore their artistic interests and creativity through a variety of mediums in a fun environment.
Drama Club
Meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Auditorium with Ms. Quilop. Students practice dramatic techniques, readings, and rehearse a full production for a Drama Competition in the Spring.
Homework Club
Meets after school on Wednesdays in Mr. Devine's room 216. Students have a supportive, laid-back room to get time and space to complete school work and get extra help.
Middle Ground
Meets once per cycle during lunch/recess. This is a student-led "safe space" where students/allies lead discussions around gender identity, inclusivity & belonging, communication & advocacy, and anti-bullying. Grade 7 & 8 will meet in room 214 with the supervision of Mrs. Leman, Mrs. Mannion, Mrs. Blessing and Ms. Newton. Grade 6 will meet in room 200 with the supervision of Mrs. Leman and Mrs. Robinson.
Student Council
Meets after school on Wednesdays in room 204 with Ms. Botelho and Ms. Saccardo co-advisors. Students discuss school improvement initiatives and propose changes and plans for the student body.
Talent Show
All students are invited to put together and act for the talent show. Students can get information about the what, where and when, from Ms. Hickey in room 228 and Mr. Devine.
Terpsichore
Meets after school on Wednesdays in the Auditorium. Students grades 6 -12 are invited to participate in the dance club which puts on
The Nutcracker
and other recitals throughout the year. Ms. Stephanie Copice can be reached for questions.
